A shocking incident from a village school in Bihar has triggered outrage after a male teacher, Suman Kumar, was caught on video asking a young girl student to massage his hands.
In the disturbing video, the teacher is seen sitting on a chair with his feet resting on another, while a small girl massages his hands. Instead of admitting fault, Suman Kumar shamelessly defended himself, claiming he teaches students with “love” and that asking children to press his hands or legs is not wrong. He further said he treats them like his “own children.”
The video, reportedly recorded by someone inside the school premises, has now gone viral and exposed the exploitation. Activists say such behavior is a serious misuse of power and a violation of children’s rights.
In rural areas, many students and parents remain silent out of fear or lack of awareness about their rights, which only encourages such acts. Education is every child’s fundamental right, and schools must provide safety, respect, and guidance—not exploitation.
Child rights groups have demanded strict action against the teacher and urged the government to introduce tighter monitoring in schools to ensure safe learning spaces for children.
