Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Cait Schott hospitalized after she was shot 5 times by an obsessed co-worker, Brian Medley.

Brian Medley, the reported shooter in the incident that occurred last night, was discovered with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound shortly after 3 a.m. this morning. READ MORE HERE

Medley, known to the victim, forcibly entered her apartment at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, where he subsequently shot her multiple times.

The victim is currently hospitalized and in critical condition.

Officers are currently on scene at Shellbrook Apartments on Twin Beech Road following a report of a female who has sustained a gunshot wound.  The scene has been secured, and the victim has been transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Mother wrote: “Update: I’m sorry I can’t answer all of the text. Cait was shot five times. Three in the chest, one in the arm and it shattered her Humerus Bone and once in the back. By Gods Grace her heart and lungs were missed. She was life flighted to USA on university in Mobile. She has been through one surgery where her liver was damaged by a bullet. She has another surgery scheduled for 7:00 for her arm. All of the bullets are still in her. They are attacking one issue at a time. Cait Schott, is tough and her will to survive for her son is very strong. She will pull through this. I have faith in her ability to fight. Cait and Ollie were in her apartments when this guy broke in and unloaded his gun on her. Ollie saw everything. Please keep Cait and poor little Ollie in your prayers. I cant imaging what he’s going to be dealing with, emotionally. Thats a trauma no child should ever see. Please say an extra prayer for Cait. She has a very long road to recovery.
The man that shot her was a coworker that had developed an obsession with her. They are still trying to locate him as of now.”
